The Mardi Gras Festival in Mt. Pleasant is an annual event that has been taking place for almost a decade now.
It was held again this year on September 17th with the purpose of welcoming CMU students to Mt. Pleasant, featuring arts from Art Reach of Mt. Pleasant as well as face painting, kids activities and a parade through town. Firstbank participated in the parade with their “Briefcase Brigade.”
Corn stalks, straw bales, leaves and scarecrows! During our “Rake in Your Rewards” promotion all of our branches have been enjoying decorating and getting into the season! Our Cadillac locations showcase some of the beautiful colors of autumn.
Firstbank-Mt. Pleasant is excited to again be taking food and cash donations leading up to this holiday season.
In 2010, Firstbank-Mt. Pleasant was able to raise 670 lbs. of food for local charities and food pantries. Among these organizations were Isabella Community Soup Kitchen, Helping Hands Food Pantry, American Legion, God's Helping Hands, Salvation Army, Christian Community of Fellowship Food Pantry, St. Vincent DePaul, and Community Action Agency.
The drive will run from Monday, October 24th, and run through Friday, November 11th. Stop by any of the thirteen branches to make your donation!
On July 26th, 2011 Chippewa Hills High School hosted the Rocket Football sign ups. The event draws in a great crowd and the Firstbank team helped support this great event by serving refreshments including hot dogs, chips, juice and water. They received many thanks from the participants and they had a great time doing it!
