Firstbank is focused on our community and that is why we invite you come and help us decorate the Mitten Tree this year! We are collecting hats, scarves, and mittens to be donated to Project Christmas to provide warm winter items for local children. We will be accepting donations in either of our Cadillac locations now through December 6th. Giving back to our friends and neighbors is what we are all about! Happy Holidays from all of us at Firstbank!
Hometown pride is alive and well in Cadillac! October 5th was the date of Cadillac's Homecoming and at Firstbank we did our part to show our support! During the Homecoming parade our staff passed out mini footballs, cider and donuts to fans and spectators. To the delight of many of the kids who were there Fortune Freddy even made an appearance!! Later that evening the Cadillac High School Vikings treated their fans to a 40-0 victory over Alpena. Way to go team!!!
July 18th was a great day out on the course for Doug Ouellette, Pete Stalker, Travis Flint and Owen Roberts who made up the Firstbank team for the Cadillac Area United Way Golf Outing. Together they took home first place scoring a great trophy as well as some bragging rights! Firstbank is dedicated to helping local community charities and this was just one great way to show our support for the United Way. Way to go guys!! You made us proud!
Our very own Branch Manager of our Cadillac North Office, Deb Ballard, is being featured in the May and June issue of the Cadillac Chamber News, "Women in Business." In the article written, Deb gives advice for how to be an effective business person. Some advice she gives is to find a balance between work and time for yourself, as well as to be sure to take good care of your customers.
We are proud to have leaders on the Firstbank team who are dedicated to our customers.

Cadillac has recently wrapped-up their annual food drive, which ran from October 24th-November 11th. All food has been donated to local charities which included The Salvation Army and the Lake City Christian Reformed Church Food Bank.
Our Cadillac offices had 3½ shopping carts full of canned goods and other donated items.
Thank you to everyone who helped us raise this amount for those in our community!

Firstbank-Cadillac was a sponsor of “The American Veterans Traveling Tribute” which included an 80% replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. The Wall passed the downtown office on Wednesday, August 3rd escorted by an estimated 400-600 motorcycles on the way to the Cadillac City Park. There were displays in honor of those who have given their lives in the defense of freedom from all major conflicts, as well as a tribute to those who died on 9/11.

On July 20th, 2011 Firstbank and Eagle Village teamed up to help distribute food to low income families. Local volunteers help distribute healthy food twice a month. The theme for the day was “Have a peach of a day”. The Eagle Village students and staff gave out peaches to every person in attendance and made posters on the importance of having fruit in your diet to stay healthy. Firstbank sponsored all the T-shirts for Eagle Village and Firstbank employees were also volunteers.
Thanks to Godfrey Chevrolet for sponsoring the truck of food, as well as the YMCA for putting on the challenge!
